An informed community is an empowered community.
In 2024, SC3 hosted At the Table, The San Nicolas Vote, a community conversation focused on informed voting, civic participation and the role residents play in shaping the future of San Nicolas.
The discussion brought together invited panelists Gregory Richardson, Celcio Luciano Milliard and Rendell De Kort, who shared different perspectives on active participation in the electoral process. Special guest speaker Jermin Bell also brought a psychological perspective to the conversation, exploring some of the factors that influence how and why people make voting decisions.
The initiative reflected an important part of SC3’s approach to community development, creating opportunities for residents to become better informed, participate in meaningful conversations and understand the influence they have on decisions affecting their community.
Because building a stronger San Nicolas also means creating an informed and engaged San Nicolas.
